The regular meeting of the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce
Strategic Planning Committee was called to order at
Attendance:
The Strategic Planning Committee liaisons reported that they have not yet approached their respective committees regarding 2010 priorities and/or vice chair positions on chamber committees.
Mike Otis reported that the Membership Committee will meet on Feb. 6, at which time the committee will discuss this year’s membership priorities and assign a vice chair.
Deb Taylor reported that the Marketing Committee has been concentrating on the area guide, while Marcy Birch noted that the Tourism Committee had not met.
Devin Morgan noted that the Board Development Committee has not met but expects they may in February.
An informal conversation reiterated the need for committees to stay focused and to continue to tout the benefits of chamber membership and committee participation.
An idea to increase committee involvement might be to have descriptions and sign-up sheets for committees available at Chamber-sponsored events, including seminars, the Annual Dinner, etc.
