Strategic Planning Committee

Present: Rich M., Devon M., Marcy B., Mike O., Jane D., Deb T., and Andy M.

• Discussed committee worksheets
• Have input from every committee except for Board Development (and Audit)
• Discussed process and next steps
• Hand out draft document at March board meeting
• Discuss committee input at board planning retreat (to be set at March board meeting)
• Possible retreat dates: Saturday, April 4^th; Saturday, April 25^th; and Saturday, May 2^nd
• Once board discusses and makes decisions about focus, info will be brought back to strategic planning committee to incorporate into strategic plan
• Strategic Planning Committee will then send plan to the board for approval (May board meeting)
• Strategic Planning meets with committee chairs to discuss plan, committee guidelines (attendance, minutes, etc), and evaluation
• Discussed funding shortfall and need to raise more funds
• Idea to present at board meeting to decide if staff should investigate feasibility
• In order to save money, supplement kiosk staffing with volunteers recruited from the board, committees, and possibly membership
• Businesses could possibly have signage (kiosk sponsored by…..)
• Kiosk hours could possibly be expanded or cutbacks addressed
• Questions to be answered
• Is this feasible?
• What are the costs?
• What will be required of staff (management, training, etc)?
• Come to next meeting with fundraising ideas to discuss
